Care
- Hardy but frost-sensitive potted plants must be winterised before the first cold days. To do this, the pot can be wrapped with fleece, coconut or straw mats, jute or bubble wrap. Evergreen plants also need to be watered on frost-free winter days. - A slow-release fertiliser can be used in spring. This releases the nutrients slowly and continuously so that the plant is evenly supplied over a longer period of time.

Musa basjoo forms orange-coloured flowers from May.

Musa basjoo produces yellow fruits with a sweet, mild flavour. Ripening time from October.
