Description
The Star magnolia 'George Henry Kern' (Magnolia stellata) is an upright, roundish large shrub that produces pink, star-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from mid-April to early June. The Star magnolia 'George Henry Kern' also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose, nutrient-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to around 3.5 metres wide.
