Growth habit
Common hydrangea 'Nikko Blue' is bushy, upright and compact in structure.

Water
The plant needs plenty of water. Do not allow the soil to dry out.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).

Care
- Old inflorescences and dry wood are removed in spring. - This plant should only be watered with lime-free water. Rainwater is particularly suitable for this purpose. - Over the years, blue-flowering hydrangeas will often only flower in pink. To prevent this, 'Hydrangea Blue' can be used to help. It contains the aluminium responsible for the blue colouring.

Flower
The blue, cupped flowers appear in umbels from June to September.
