Growth habit
Traveller´s joy 'Jackmanii' is a climbing plant that grows like a vine and can reach a height of 3.5 - 6 metres and a width of 2 - 3 metres.
Water
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.
Location
Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
Soil
Normal soil.
Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).

Care
- A slow-release fertiliser can be used in spring. This releases the nutrients slowly and continuously so that the plant is evenly supplied over a longer period of time.
- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the plant roots are stimulated to penetrate into deeper soil layers. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.
- Cut back boldly in spring so that the plant grows compactly.
Flower
The blue-violet, cup-shaped flowers appear from June to September. They grow to a size of about 10 - 15 cm.
