Description

Bulletpoints
* light green, evergreen leaves

Growth habit
Rhododendron is upright and compact in structure.

Water
The plant needs plenty of water. Do not allow the soil to dry out.

Location
Preferred location in semi-shady to shady position.

Soil
Loose, humus-rich, sufficiently moist but water-permeable and well-aerated soil is preferred. Commercially available container plant soil.

Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).

Tasks
- Mulching: In the period from March to April - Fertilise: In the period from April to August.

Care
- Yellow leaves on rhododendrons can be a sign of too high a lime content in the soil. Iron and magnesium fertiliser, for example, can help. - This plant should only be watered with lime-free water. Rainwater is particularly suitable for this purpose. - Cut back frozen shoots to the healthy wood as soon as there is no longer any danger of frost.

Flower
The orange, pink, red, white, funnel-shaped flowers appear from May to June.

Use
Solitary, group planting, ornamental shrub, tub, balcony/patio, bonsai

Root
Rhododendron indicum is a shallow-rooting plant.
