Prefers a well-drained, humus-rich, acidic substrate Commercially available container plant soil.

Care
- High water permeability of the substrate is extremely important: waterlogging and standing water in the pot inevitably lead to rotting. - As soon as temperatures no longer fall below 5°C, even at night, this plant can be taken outside. A shower with lukewarm water will remove dust and revitalise your favourite. A semi-shady spot out of direct sunlight is best to prevent leaf damage. If necessary, the plant can also be repotted outdoors in spring, which saves cleaning work indoors. - Regular watering in summer is particularly important. Morning or evening is the best time for this. Watering should also be done slowly and, if possible, not over the flowers and leaves.

The white, star-shaped flowers appear from May to June.

The red, round drupes of Ardisia crenata 'Bos Premium' are particularly decorative. They appear from October and are small.
